It is a pleasure to introduce myself to you! I look forward to helping you achieve your wine and travel goals!

The Wine Journey:

My deep dive into wine came quickly on the heels of graduating from UCSC in Italian Language Studies. Having been on many dates, I found the best thing about them were talking about wine with someone I cared about! I decided to explore that unknown world of wine. Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz offered a great introductory program on wine. With that foundation, I attended the Society of Wine Educator’s annual conference and events hosted at the San Francisco Wine School. Since I have always been passionate about Italy, I began focusing on Italian Wines. After a few trips to Italy, I realized I want to introduce consumers to the seemingly infinite grapes and wines produced all over Italy. My passion for teaching has led me to create this business in the hope that I can help you find wines you love using vocabulary that you understand. Wine shouldn’t be private club for the elite. I want every consumer to feel confident in their understanding of wine.

The Language Journey:

When I was sixteen an English teacher in Italy asked if I wanted to attend their school in Sicily for a year. Of course I said yes! How exciting does that sound?! I utilized a private tutor for the summer, practicing the basics and when I arrived I found immersion was extremely difficult and life changing. I was fluent when I returned to California a year later and when the time came to decide what I would study at University, I chose Italian. I graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Italian Language Studies. The program was comprised of Linguistics, Italian language courses, and Italian culture classes.

In my adult life I have continued to travel back to Italy and made some incredible connections. I helped interpret remodeling plans, acted as a guide in an Italian winery, and taught large groups and individuals about the mysteries of Italian wine.
